Statement from Westchester County Board of Legislators Chairman Ken Jenkins On New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s Proposed 2012-2013 Executive Budget

Westchester County Board of Legislators Chairman Ken Jenkins issued the following statement today in response to New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s proposed 2012-2013 Executive Budget:

“Governor Cuomo put forward a bold plan today that will put New York back on the path to prosperity. Because he understands the weight of unfunded mandates on local governments, especially those here in Westchester County, Governor Cuomo should be thanked for including strong mandate relief and effective cost cutting in this Executive Budget. Government must spend its resources more wisely to ensure a stable economic future, and so I commend the Governor for his hard work and visionary leadership in this regard.”
