Cuomo: Converting old Tappan Zee Bridge to walkway 'an exciting option'
State officials indicated today that they are exploring whether to turn the current Tappan Zee Bridge into a greenway or pedestrian walkway when the new bridge is built. Gov. Andrew Cuomo also said the bridge will be built with the option of adding mass transit, such as a rail line.

Police checking into Greenburgh shooting victim's past
A 35-year-old man shot in his mother's driveway Monday night has an extensive criminal history, but police are not sure if that was a factor in the shooting. At a news conference Tuesday, Greenburgh police Chief Joseph DeCarlo said the man is clinging to life after he was shot "three or four" times in the driveway of 166 Sears Ave. in the town's North Elmsford section. Police have yet to identify suspects in the shooting of Tajuan Herring.
